Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Friday said there was nothing new in India Against Corruption (IAC) leader Arvind Kejriwal’s latest revelations on black money issue. He said unlike him, the activist-turned-politician has adopted a pessimistic approach as he believed there was no solution to the issue of corruption as everybody in the system was same.

“His point of view is clear. It is like mine. But he wants to formpublic opinion about this system that nothing is going to happen with this… I have an optimistic way to reach at some logical conclusion. But he is adopting a pessimistic approach that everybody is the same, they are all together, nothing will happen,” Swamy said reacting to Kejriwal’s revelations about some corporate honchos and Congress leader.

However, he reiterated that there was nothing new in Kejriwal’s claims as everything was there in the Supreme Court records.

He slammed Kejriwal for “not speaking anything against Congress” and its chief Sonia Gandhi. He said the budding politician refrained from naming the Congress president while making revelations about her son-in-law Robert Vadra’s shady landdeals with DLF despite the fact that he was shielded by her.

Attacking President Pranab Mukherjee, Swamy said, “Everybody knows how corrupt Pranab Mukherjee is. How he used to salute Mukesh Ambani and his father Dhirubhai is known to all.”

It could be mentioned that Kejriwal had also accused Mukherjee, who happened to be the finance minister when the French government presented the details of black money hoarders to India last year, of suppressing information and shielding the “big fishes”.

Blaming Kejriwal’s “negative approach” to the issues raised by him to his “Leftist thinking”, Swamy said, “Kejriwal has said that Aruna Roy is his mentor, who is a pure Naxalite. She was in Sonia Gandhi’s National Advisory Council, or may be still she is. I don’t know.”

“There was nothing new (in Kejriwal’s charges). People who read newspapers or watch TV they knew it already. The only new thing could be that we take action. Statements keep coming. People will forget it,” the Janata Party leader concluded.
