BANGALORE: The arrested terror suspect, Yahya Khan alias Mohammed Kamma Kutty, had helped terrorists in recruiting youths and had stolen software and data from his previous company with plans to start his own.

During interrogation, Yahya disclosed that his biggest dream was to start a company in Dubai and he had allegedly stolen software and data from GE Healthcare, where he was working in 2006.

Yahya’s project was called ‘Fateh Solutions’. ‘Fateh’ in Arabic means ‘to conquer’. He was in Dubai on work from GE and had stolen data to start his own business. Police officials said he had allegedly stolen business modules to start the project and it was in process.

But, before that he was sacked from GE, as they were alerted about his plans. Police had been keeping an eye on him since the IISc attack and while intercepting his e-mails, they found content of his plans to form ‘Fateh Solutions’ and the stolen software.

Yahya also revealed that he was providing technical support to other terrorists. “Yahya was transferring funds and weapons to terrorists across the country.

He also helped in recruiting youths and setting up sleeper cells in Bangalore, Kerala and other parts of North Karnataka,” said a police official. He had also provided shelter to terrorists, who are his associates and are accused in the Mumbai and Hyderabad blasts cases.
